We are preparing for fall workshops and classes now.  There will be three music classes offered this fall in conjuntion with Blue Mountain Community College.  The classes wil be instructed by Keith Taylor, one of our in-house teachers.  There will be two Music Appreciation classes which will be held at Blue Mountain Community College.  The Class Piano Workshop will be held at Marilyn's Music.  All Classes begin September 24 and fees range from $120 to $150. Register for these classes at www.bluecc.edu or call 541-523-9127

Marilyn’s Music Plus was proud to present our first Native American drum-building workshop. This exciting workshop was taught by Dylan Haney of Eugene, Oregon at Marilyn’s Music downtown Baker City location. Dylan has been building Native American drums for seven years and is of Native American decent himself.

The two-day workshop consisted of stretching hides over prepared hoops and the intricate task of tuning the drum. Students learned construct a beater to use with their drum. The workshop cost $150 per person, this included the cost of a 13” Drum, larger drums are available at an additional cost .
